I am Marilen Villamizar , a Venezuelan graphic designer and passionate artist. I specialize in embroidery on paper, a discipline where I intervene in photographs to give them a unique artistic touch. This gesture goes beyond technique: it is an act of rewriting. I take a static image, a frozen instant and pierce it with threads to inject time, narrative, and a physical body. The result is not an illustration, but a collaboration between the visual truth of the photograph and the material and emotional truth of my embroidery, celebrating creativity and artisanal beauty in every stitch.

This process is the manifestation of my ikigai, the essential reason that structures my days. Soy Marilen Villamizar, Venezolana , diseñadora gráfica y artista apasionada. Me especializo en el bordado sobre papel, una disciplina donde intervengo fotografías para darles un toque artístico único. Este gesto va más allá de la técnica: es un acto de reescritura. Tomo una imagen estática, un instante congelado, y lo perforo con hilos para inyectarle tiempo, narrativa y un cuerpo físico. El resultado no es una ilustración, sino una colaboración entre la verdad visual de la fotografía y la verdad material y emotiva de mi bordado, celebrando la creatividad y la belleza artesanal en cada puntada.

Este proceso es la manifestación de mi ikigai, la razón esencial que estructura mis días.
